Michael Streeter – freelance journalist in France
I am based in France but regularly work for UK-based publications and companies as well as French media outlets.
Here is a brief outline of my work and experience as a writer and journalist:
As a freelance journalist I write news, features, columns and sport for print or websites. I have worked and written for many Fleet Street newspapers.
I am available to write articles on all aspects of buying property in France, French property trends, Britons living in France and French lifesyle.
I also work with the Charente Libre newspaper for whom I write a regular English-language blog.
I have written a number of non-fiction books on a wide variety of subjects, including history, sport, the occult, social affairs, politics, horticulture, the natural world and biography. I am also an experienced ghost-writer. Though based in south west France, I write for markets all around the world, including for US publishers, and visit London regularly.
If you need a newsletter written, copy for a brochure or words for a website then I’d be glad to help.
I’m experienced at managing a variety of writing and research projects.
I am an experienced translator from French to British English, for which I draw on my skills as a freelance journalist. My focus is thus on providing accurate well-written ans natural English versions of French texts rather than word for word translations, which may be correct but may also be stilted. My main areas of expertise as a translator are news and current affairs, plus tourism and travel.
